Bruce Frodge is known as “The Juice”. Why “The Juice”? Because juice quenches your thirst, nurtures you, and is good for you; that is what Bruce does for anyone he comes in contact with.

Bruce may not be the most talkative person you meet, but he knows actions speak louder than words. His actions are what the doctor ordered.

Bruce is the drummer for Velvet Soul and he has been hitting the skins for over 40 years.

His greatest inspirations came from his mom and dad. Bruce says, “I couldn’t have had better parents if I had hand-picked them”. Bruce is a big fan and proud of his son Matthew who is a very good singer.

Musically, Bruce’s greatest inspirations came from Jeff Porcaro (Toto) because of Jeff’s “in the pocket” groove. Bruce was also inspired by Ringo Starr, Hal Blaine (The Wrecking Crew), and DJ Fontana (original drummer for Elvis).

When not performing on stage, Bruce enjoys old TV movies, karaoke, and collecting vinyl records.

Bruce’s favorite genres are 50s, 60s, and 70s rock-n-roll; as well as folk and classic rock.

Bruce’s favorite bands are: Little River Band, The Beatles, The Eagles, and The Guess Who.

What irritates Bruce?… People who do not keep their promises.
